Free Government Tablets in All 50 States
The Lifeline program operates in every U.S. state and territory. Browse below to find detailed information about free tablet availability in your state, including which providers are active and which qualifying programs apply.
How State Programs Work
The Lifeline program is a federal benefit, but each state has its own set of approved providers and may offer additional state-level benefits. For example, California runs its own California LifeLine program that supplements the federal benefit. Some states also have enhanced tribal Lifeline benefits for residents on qualifying tribal lands.
Regardless of which state you live in, the basic eligibility requirements remain the same. You qualify if you participate in SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, Veterans Pension, Federal Public Housing Assistance, or other qualifying programs. You also qualify if your household income falls at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Select your state below to learn more about local availability.
